Training 2025 - 2026
Information
Become a "Yogasala" teacher...
Free training! One Sunday a month to join the Yogasala Teachers' College, as a side activity...
As facilitator of this room, I'm looking to create a group of teachers who share a certain background & approach to teaching yoga.
The few momentary principles to which we adhere are listed here.
Are you tempted by the idea of of becoming a yoga because of your great affection for our beautiful discipline and you're not shocked by these principles...
OR
You have taken a training course (VinyasaAshtaga or Iyengar for example) and would like to start giving class but also deepen your knowledge and skills...
For whom?
Already graduated
Any teacher who has already completed initial training… and feels the need to “deepen” their practical and theoretical knowledge.
Your goal is not to make a full-time profit. The way the room works (size, price of class and discounts, ...) doesn't allow you to offer a "career" as a teacher.
Or not
Anyone who wants to learn more about yoga and is interested in becoming a yoga teacher. There are no age restrictions or practice level requirements.
Of course, it's best if you've been attending my class for a while (min. 6 months unless otherwise stated).
Teaching yoga would be an opportunity to make more room for this discipline in your life, to deepen your knowledge of the subject.
Your goal is not to make it a full-time money-making activity (for that, it's better to follow formatted schools and look for YogaAlliance-certified diplomas and typical "YogaRoom" classrooms).
More important
Willingness to learn (anatomy, biomechanics, history of yoga - mostly in English, etc.)
Curiosity: prepare for surprises along the way
Mental flexibility: we all have our convictions, but the most important prerequisite is to accept the need to explain and clarify what you believe in, using arguments that can be communicated.
Tenacity: there will be plenty of material.
Assiduity: once you've registered, I'll be counting on your regular attendance at training sessions.
Practical details
Program
Anatomy & biomechanics: 2 class of 3 x 1h, to be viewed before our sessions, discussed during the sessions. ("Yoga Biomechanics and Asana")
Practice
Clinical posture or posture-by-posture improvement)
Study of postures & instructions (3 per session)
Beyond the practice: history of yoga and reflection on the why of yoga.
FREE training.
My main interest is to be surrounded by teachers who share a certain common spirit, a way of seeing what teaching yoga means.
It's an exchange with a financial dimension, of course:
For the launch of a class, as long as there aren't 6 students in a class, you'll give the class away for free.
THE class are paid in the form of expenses (€40 per class with a maximum of €1,600 per year for legal reasons). This formula is not suitable if you are a social security recipient (you will have to go through Smart or similar)
3 key points
Participate in one of my class once a week
Attend most sessions
Be prepared to give class in the room one morning (8 or 9 a.m. or later) or lunchtime once a week. (of course after enough training sessions...)
Sessions
10 Sundays per year (i.e. 1 per month), over 2 years.
Let's talk...
If you're interested, please contact me.
I'll be organizing information sessions to discuss the matter.
