Associate professors
Our values
"I am the organizer and tenant of this room. As such, I wanted to associate myself with teachers who share certain very general principles with me, which you will find below...
All our teachers undergo ongoing training, and we work together to improve our skills.

Non-Hindu
We are not Hindu: implicit references or Hindu levies are made
or because we are still exploring "what it might mean or do" (e.g. reciting incantations or mantra's/bahjan's)".
or because we've been instructed in these terms, we thought they sounded nice, and we're asking you (mainly about the Sanskrit names of the postures). At least, in this room, it's said.
Questioning
Concerning the grave and great question of spirituality: having turned our backs on the Hindu foundation, we nevertheless vote for a delicate attention to dimensions beyond the framework seated by science and modern Western society. The philosophers of our lands, ancient and modern, teach us and encourage us to think more carefully about these questions.
Adherents to the 10 principles of Anatomy Informed Yoga
Our ambition is to provide a wide range of class services, all of which are cross-examined on the basis of information provided by the body's own science (anatomy, biomechanics, etc.).
Determining exactly how this information is relevant to yoga postures is no simple matter, and we're constantly learning. For the principal, this school is first and foremost a school of modesty.
We are utterly fascinated by yoga and the transformations it enables or proposes, but are hungry for verifiable or experimentable explanations... On the other hand, we're also aware that we have a certain limit to our abilities, or even to the "state of science" when it comes to yoga: in many cases, we'll only have theories, not the truth... .
Finally, we can't "cure" a person with a health problem, and refer them to doctors and physiotherapists as soon as we identify an issue that is beyond our control.
Of course, the desire to help and the belief that yoga can do so is irresistible. And apart from referring to professionals, it's all about how you approach these issues: suggestions, yes, assertions, no.
These 10 principles can be found here.
Casual
We believe that humor is one of the disciplines to be cultivated and explored, and our ambition is to add it to the 8 branches of traditional yoga...

10 principles
EVERY BODY IS UNIQUE.
ANY YOGA POSE CAN HARM. ANY YOGA POSE CAN HEAL.
MOST YOGA ASANA IS SPECIALIZED, NOT FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT.
"LISTEN TO YOUR BODY" WORKS ABOUT 50% OF THE TIME.
CRITICAL THINKING IS CRITICAL. (BECAUSE WE CAN'T KNOW EVERYTHING.)
READILY REFER OUT.
FLEXIBILITY IS NO GOOD WITHOUT STRENGTH.
VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE. OUR BODIES NEED VARIETY OF MOVEMENT.
SAFE STRENGTH BUILDING COMES FROM PROGRESSIVE LOADING.
WE AIM AT CREATING SENSATIONS THAT CHANGE YOUR "STATE OF BEEING"
The joy of the body: we take care of it... What you will do with it, is yours. We hope this will be joy...
